I'm admittedly an avid overthinker, so I'm sure I missed some really basic step somewhere along the way. But, I'm simply trying to go through the Academy videos and "follow along" with the excercises as recommended.
I just got to the first hands-on section "Understanding the Sales Hub Starter Tools" >> "Increasing Your Efficiency With Email Templates..."
Right off the bat, the dashboard the instructor shows has a menu at the top: "Contacts | Conversations | Marketing | Sales | etc..."
I do not have this menu bar, therefore I do not have these options. I've clicked around the menus and the options, and I simply cannot find a dashboard that looks anything like this—more specifically, the option to "click on 'Conversations'"
Can anybody help point out what I'm doing wrong? Where do I find these options? What is wrong with my dashboard?
Hi @TopShub no problem, happy to help you find these locations within your account. The main navigation changed last year and we're all still learning where to find everything!
Here's where you can find Conversations, it's now under CRM > Inbox:
Inbox is where all conversations are managed.
As for the dashboard, you would have had to create a dashboard in your account, there isn't a default Sales dashboard included automatically, but when you go to create a dashboard you can choose from available templates.
From Reporting > Dashboards, in the upper right click Create dashboard:
It should look like this:
Scroll until you find Sales:
Choose the reports:
Set the dashboard permissions and click Create dashboard:
If my reply answered your question please mark it as a solution to make it easier for others to find.
@Jnix284 , thank you for the thoughtful reply. Creating a dashboard is definitely the basic thing I missed. I don't remember them saying, "you must do this first" in the Create a Dashboard video, but it makes sense. I think this should do the trick for me. All the best!
