What does the Gmail Plugin actually do?

I installed the Gmail Plugin and linked it all up.

I see I can "add" a contact from an email.

I can visit hubspot from gmail

But yeah, apart from that what else does it do? I have to send from hubspot to get an email in the CRM/deal

If I get an email I have to forward it to hubspot to get it in the deal.

Seems like nothing much is there.
