We have a team of sales people who are experiencing exactly the same symptoms:
-After boot up, over time the memory usage of the gmail tap grows until it consumes all available RAM.
-System speed degrates progressively untill all RAM is consumed.
-Crashes then occur. -Disabling/uninstalling hubspot immediately resolves the issue. -Much of our hubspot usage is via the chrome/gmail app and thus our hubspot usage has taken a drastic hit.
My specs are: -2020 Macbook Pro -Latest OS (updated yesteday as a fix for the issue, no change to above symptoms) -Latest Chrome
@PamCotton - the aforementioned fix has not helped, I am experiencing the same symptoms when testing right now (after an extension re-install).
Our team of 15 is also experiencing this issue. Just as AAmmar1 stated, it can be exactly traced to this extention. As soon as a user disables or deletes the Hubspot extention thier computer returns to normal.
While the extention is enabled Chrome begin to take up more and more CPU until chrome or the computer begins to crash. Has Hubspot acknowledged this issue or are they planning a fix? At this time, for most of our users, we have had to disable the extension so they may continue to work as normal.
We deployed some changes earlier today that we think should help.
We recommend to please refresh Gmail to get our latest updates; relaunching Google Chrome may also help. If you are still experiencing issues, please file a ticket and record a log from the background page. This will help our team to investigate more about it.
@jroogc has anyone found a solution to this ? I am experiencing the same thing and it's only affecting my GMAIL. I have to remove the extension in order for the incredible lag to go away.
Update the Extension: Ensure that you are using the latest version of the Gmail extension.
Check for Conflicts: Disable other browser extensions one by one and see if the problem persists. Sometimes, conflicts between extensions can cause performance issues. Identify the conflicting extension and consider removing or updating it
Clear Browser Cache:When you experience an issue that is not occurring on other browsers or computers, the source of that issue may lie in your browser's cache. Clearing the cache will typically resolve these issues.
Let us know if trying these steps helps you with the slow load time.
This is also happening to me, just started a few days ago. It happens across multiple browsers and computers. It makes the CPU on my computer jump to 100%+.
Nothing changed, no new extensions and no conflicts.
Tried to uninstall/reinstall, same problem. The minute I disable it, it goes back to normal speeds and no lag.
Im recently having the same problem, just happened randomly (since decembeer 1st of 2023). i still have not found a fix and neither has hubspot support.
What seems to be happening in my case is that when i open my gmail and hubspot for example (2 tabs only) and my hubspotsales extension is active, my task manager shows that google chrome seems to be replicating an error, so the ram usage keeps going up (the chrome tab keeps using ram of the 16gb that i have until laptop crashes, while my cpu is going crazy at like 45% - 65%) as soon as i disable the hubspotsales extension then everything goes back to normal, and is quick and snappy again. (it was quick and snappy before even with the extension on)
Now im not sure what the issue is, when i sent hubspot support my debug logs on the hubspot sales extention it was obvious in the logs that there was a problem as there were like 120 issues and errors and "failed to load resource the server responded with a status of 400" or 404. And that Error kept replicating. Any one with a fix yet?
Hey @jroogc and @Stroker could you please provide us with more information on your specific case? The more information, screenshots, and details you can provide, the better I can advise on the next steps.
