We are having an issue involving the logging of emails in our system. This connect between Hubspot and Gmail is working and we are finding all of the data is mapping into the system. The issue lies in how the contact owner is being allocated.
The contact who is logging the email in the system is not being allocated as the contact owner.
Basically we have set up a workflow that uses the Industry they are in allocates to a certain contact. This seems to be overiding the contact who is logging the email. I did want to check, when someone logs the email in the system and the contact does not exist, does the extension create it under the contact who logged them?
In regards to the workflow, I was wondering how we could set up some type of branch to check if an owner is mapped to the contact before they go through this contact?
To prevent your workflow from overwriting an existing Contact owner, simply add "Contact owner is unknown" to your enrollment triggers. From that point on, the workflow will only enroll records that haven't been assigned yet.
