Inquiry on Automating Contact Saving Process in HubSpot CRM with Gmail Integration
SOLVE
I am currently using HubSpot CRM with Gmail integration to automatically capture contact details from emails and save them into the CRM. I have enabled Inbox Automation, Email Logging, and Automatic Contact Creation features, ensuring that new contacts are automatically added.
However, I noticed that every time I receive an email from a new contact, HubSpot still requires me to manually click "Save" to add the contact information. I would like to fully automate this process and eliminate the need to manually save new contacts.
Could you please guide me on whether there is a setting or configuration that would allow HubSpot to automatically save new contacts without requiring manual confirmation or clicking "Save"?
Here is a reminder:
1. If someone sends me an email, the email can be automatically saved in hubspot without me having to click into the email and then click save to hubspot.
2. I have enabled Inbox automation and all Email Log and Track Settings
3. I done connect my personal email to HuBSpot
4. I done download the HubSpot sales chrome extension and done connect on my gmail
Inbound emails to personal connected inbox do not created contacts as of now, yes, but this beta should solve it – you might see it under Settings > Product updates. (If not, you'll have to be a bit more patient.)
Contact email logging rules
What is it?
Contact email logging rules let admins configure their portal to automatically capture all email communications between users and existing contacts in HubSpot.
Why does it matter?
The current default logging behavior only captures contact emails that are replies to already logged user emails, which can lead to important communications being missed in your CRM:
When a contact responds to a sequence but their email isn't logged
When you send emails from your mobile device without using the BCC address
In Settings, navigate to Objects > Activities > Email Log & Track to find the new section for Contact email logging rules.
The default value is "Log replies to logged threads only", which will keep functionality as it has always been.
To get the new behavior, select "Log all emails to/from known contacts". This will log all emails between the personal connected emails of users who have Personal email access permissions and contacts who are not on the Never Log list.
If you choose the new logging behavior, be aware of these key differences:
All emails users send from outside of HubSpot (such as the email client, mobile apps) to existing contact records will log to the CRM.
All emails from existing contacts to users will log to the CRM.
Emails sent outside of HubSpot to recipients who are not contacts, will not log. You will need to continue using the Sales Extensions or add the BCC address.
Email attribution
Emails that are logged from contacts that are net new email threads will be attributed to HubSpot users accordingly:
If the email only has one recipient, attribute to that user.
If the email has multiple recipients, but only one is associated with a user, attribute to that user. An email address is associated with a user if they have it as a connected personal email address, it's their HubSpot user account email, or an alias.
If the email has multiple recipients, and more than one associated with a user, attribute to the contact owner.
Who gets it?
This feature is available for all HubSpot hubs and tiers.

@Prioocare what do you mean by "affected"? It you confirm, yes, the beta will affect your account insofar that the feature will be available to you – as per the HubSpot Beta Terms linked / shown in your screenshot.

I see, and Will it affect my existing hubspot features and imported data? Can I exit the beta test at any time? If the official version is launched in the future, will my record of using the beta test disappear? How long do I have to wait after applying?

Makes sense wanting to keep email threads clean without logging everything manually. Quick check; Are you looking to log all emails by default, or just certain ones based on things like sender or domain? If you're an admin, head to Settings > Objects > Activities > Email Logging. From there, you can set up rules like only logging emails sent to contacts already in your CRM, blocking certain domains (like your internal team), and auto-logging replies, not just outgoing emails. I set this up once to skip vendor emails while still capturing client convos, it really cut down the clutter. Let me know how specific you want the rules, there’s a bit of flexibility to work with.
