Incoming emails are not logged to my deal

SOLVE

I have the settings in Gmail

this page suggests that it would automatically log incoming emails to the things that I have selected.

 

 

I have an email thread which is logged to everything

I did this manually as the email is prior to my HS account

 

and then the customer replied to the email now

the reply is automatically logged only to 1

how can I set up so it logs too the other things

 

 

two hours of now past and it is still the same

@merfin29 perhaps when creating a Deal, you should mark the below checkbox:

SOLVE

OK I found this page and it seems like it is impossible to have any emails automatically associated with a deal.

 

The only exception is to use the conversation inbox for all your emails. In other words it forces you to discard your email client and use a custom one. That is out of the question

I'm a bit shocked because basically this does not have the function of a CRM then. Like a new car that has no wheels, doesn't matter how fancy the rest of the features are.

SOLVE

Thanks for pointing those out I am actually creating the deal via API and associating an email address.

 

I'm not seeing these options in a created deal

so I assume this means it's just importing the any existing activity at the time of creation of which there will be none

 

I'm also finding in a thread that is assigned to a deal, if I do a reply from Gmail it is not adding to the deal. It only adds my reply to the contact and company

 

in other words nothing ever seems to be added to a deal automatically. I have to do every single step manually ????
