Sometimes an issue like this can be resolve by resttings the notifiactions settings. Click gear icon in the main navigation bar > Notifications. Under Email/dashboard, click Contacts and companies/Deals and do the resetting.

hi @karstenkoehler I have gone through these troubleshooting tips and have done the needful to make the notifications pop up on my gmail however they are still not showing up.
