How to create a marketing contact

Good morning everyone, how can I create a MARKETING contact by manually entering contact details from the Gmail add-on? I can only find the property that allows me to decide whether the new contact is marketing or non-marketing in the CREATE CONTACT section of the main HubSpot page. Is there a way to include this property for selection using the Gmail and Outlook extensions? Thank you very much.

The reason you don’t see the Marketing Contact property in the Gmail/Outlook extensions is that the Gmail and Outlook add-ons are more streamlined for quick contact creation and don't expose all of HubSpot’s advanced properties at the moment. The Marketing Contact property is typically more relevant when working directly within HubSpot to refine your marketing lists.

Thank you very much!

I also imagined that it was for this reason! Do you know if there is the
possibility to set that the new contacts inserted by the Gmail/Outlook
extensions are saved immediately as marketing contacts? Also because when I
open my newly created contact card I see the property "non-marketing
contact status" but I don't have the possibility to change it.

For an automatic solution, you would need a Professional or Enterprise subscription.

As far as I know, there is not. The options for settings contacts as marketing are outlined here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/set-contacts-as-marketing

On a Professional subscription, a workflow could be used to automate this.

The reason why this option does not exist in the extension is probably that it is a marketing feature and the extension is for sales. For customers with automation needs, a Professional subscription can solve for this with a workflow (see above).

@Sim19 if you have a Professional and Enterprise subscription, yes, you can use a workflow to do this: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/set-contacts-as-marketing

Without a Professional or Enterprise subscription, no, this is not possible.
