Gmail add on not logging emails to company, only to contacts

Email address belongs to a single person that is why it reflects in the Contacts and not to company. And there can be a situation where multiple contacts are associated with the same company.
For example abc@webdew.com, xyz@webdew.com. So the emails coming to both the email addresses will not get saved in the company’s record but in the individual contacts record.
