Gmail Integration keeps opening Mac mail

My collegue is having a problem integrating hubspot with gmail.  When she gets to the last step of integration her mac mail suddenly opens and doesn't allow her to complete the process.

Hi @intrapreneur,

What action is your colleague taking right before Apple Mail opens up?  The only thing I can think of for this behavior is that Apple Mail is set as the default mail client on the computer, and for some reason, the action right before this happens is triggering Apple Mail to open.  This is the first time that I have heard of this happening, so if you/your colleague could provide a screenshot or screenshot video showing this happen, it might be helpful.
