Google just disabled the HubSpot Sales extension. Google help says –Extensions that request access to all your data on your computer and the websites you visit can access almost anything, including your webcam and personal files. This is unnerving.
If I accept the permissions, will there be option to minimize it's reach to only what is needed for functionality?
It seems that the Gmail extension still works (at least it looks like in my gmail). Did they disable only the extension on websites or the whole extension?
If the Gmail extension stops working, it might be quite a challenge at so many levels, starting with email logging to HubSpot.
Why isn't this front page news? I assumed this was a core functionality for virtually any Hubspot user, to auto-log and track emails and seems like no one is talking about it. There's no way they need access to view and change data on any website, nor are they getting it from me. Hubspot just keeps making anti-consumer decisions and I'm about fed up.

Google disabled the extention. It no longer appears on on my Gmail page and there is an error message regarding the extention in the top right of Chrome.
