Extension adds Contacts for my own email aliases

SOLVE

I use multiple email aliases. I have added these all in Hubspot settings / your preferences / general / email / configure / current email aliases.

And yet, whenever I reply to a message sent to one of the aliases configured there, the Hubspot extension creates a new Contact for my alias. Do I just need to accept that I will have a Hubspot contact for every one of my own email aliases?

Similarly, once I've logged an email to Hubspot, all subsequent emails with that contact are logged no matter what I do. My activity log for one contact is filled with about a dozen emails back and forth when we were meeting up in the city center. "where are you?" "I'm across the street from the restaurant" blah blah. Why does Hubspot not remember when I've told it not to log???

Hi @Kief,

For aliases, ensure they’re added as secondary emails in your user profile (Settings > Your Preferences >  Email > Add email alias). HubSpot should then recognize them as your addresses, not new contacts.

For email logging: By default, the extension logs all emails unless you uncheck "Log email" before sending. To disable auto-logging, go to the chrome extension settings and turn off "Automatically track emails."

Do you use the HubSpot Inbox for alias replies? Maybe this is a better approach for using different aliases and tracking the right emails.

Thanks Emiliano. I have added them as email the aliases as you suggest, but Hubspot still adds them as new contacts.
