What happens to archived Subscription types after they are unarchived?

If a subscription is archived and then unarchived, will the contact records who previously had the subscription show once again as subscribed?

In other words, does archiving a subscription type preserve the opt-in status of contacts to these types? We are on GDPR settings. Thanks for any help.

@Otterbot  I just tested this in my demo account and it appears that the subscription type will stay with the contact regardless of if it archived or not. 

So unarchiving the subscription type will restore the opt-ed in subscription to those that were opted-in before.
