Opt in on lists/partner apps - GDPR

Hi Hubspot!

We want to send contacts an automated opt in mail after they're subscribing via Facebook leads (Zapier connection or upload lists). 

Zapier connection

We configured the Zapier connection (FB lead ads) so that the leads will become contacts within Hubspot, but Hubspot doesn't send the opt in email. That's weird since the GDPR is coming closer and closer.

Upload lists

We also tried to upload the lead list to Hubspot. Hubspot asks us if the contact has got opt in, but doesn't have the ability to send automatically the opt in. 

We know you can work with a workflow to get the opt in, but that's only a temporary solution and not the best one. 

Is it possible to get the option to send an automated opt in request (at least) by uploading a list?

Hi @Yasser  HubSpot does not automatically send opt-in emails to contacts uploaded via list. This would constitute an un-solicited email, which is the antithesis of inbound marketing.  

Regarding Facebook lead ad opt-ins, our team is working to ensure that we provide fully compliant tools by the GDPR deadline. You can follow our efforts on our GDPR privacy page here, and on this community thread.
