Marketing Consent

During our sign up process for our app we ask whether the user consents to marketing via hubspot. Via the hubspot API we can create the contact record no problem but it's not clear how to include the marketing consent value. Can this be achieved via the API or is there a different method that doesn't require a using a hubspot form?

Yes, this is possible via the subscription API endpoints: https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/marketing-api/subscriptions-preferences
