I have several hubspot forms embedded on my website. Now, a lot of our leads comes from Europe and hence, I want to add a GDPR compliance field in my forms but, I only want it appear in Europe and not globally. Is their any way I can do this?

Q: How to make customized forms only for European visitors [on my non-HubSpot website]?

Short A: Not from within HubSpot.

Longer A:

Depending on the platform and your level of skill with .js you can detect the referring country and possibly handle those country-specific sources as you see fit. The following article referrs to Shopify, but we've also seen this work on WordPress. It's .js after all! haha

- see https://help.shopify.com/themes/customization/store/get-customers-location
// Country codes are in ISO format - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-1_alpha-2

That being said, you may just find it easier to use a different forms tool that has this functionality built-in and integrates with HubSpot (either directly or via Zapier).

- see Typeform?

Hope that helps.

<p>Hi What you could do here is to use Smart content on the landing pages. I've recorded a short video here to show you how to do this  which can be seen here https://soapbox.wistia.com/videos/lqVLFQIOt2

Hope that helps

Thanks for the link Trever,

However, as I mentioned, I have these forms embedded on my website. Not on hubspot landing page, so I can't use smart content. Is there anything I can do with forms or maybe on my website.

Thanks MFJ,

The javascript thing will sure help me. I will have to consult an expert though.

I tried creating this rule using EU countries as the criteria but I don't think it is working out. This is the landing page https://www.elsag.com/tolling-product-sheet

When I test it and enter a EU country, the form doesn't change. I think I'm approaching it the wrong way?

@DMurphy1, your scenario is different and warrants a separate thread.

That being said, you can only set limited 'field dependencies' in HubSpot forms, so ... setting country may not be enough to trigger a GDPR-compliant change.
