Beta Cookie Scanning on website (internal on Hubspot and external)
SOLVE
Hi everyone,
I want to share my experience with Cookie scanning (beta) and Cookie Banner, maybe someone could help me.
Actually we have a cookie banner on my agency website and 2 subdomain, all with HubSpot cookie banner. We use Google Tag Manager for tags (GA4, GAU, FB pixel exc..). The Google Tag Manager script is implemented by code before </head>.
We tried the beta cookie scanning but we had some problems (it doesn't work properly).
We called the assistance and it said to us that cookie _gcl_aue (linker conversion on tag manager) caused the problem.
Anybody tried the cookie banned with scanning? What's your experience?

Hi @Marcolì - I have been trying to run the scan but it keeps failing. We were using CookieYes (added via GTM) for our cookie banner consent and so I have been disabling that and pausing the GTM and then trying to run the scan but each time it says that it has detected another Cookie banner on the site so can't really see what the way around that is!

In my testing with the new beta, Cookie blocking seems to be working for all cookies - including GA and GTM -- on my external domains. After placing the blocking code in global header, no cookies -- no Hub, no ga, no fb, etc -- are being placed until consent is given. We are putting the HubSpot blocking code in Wordpress header and placing all other tags through GTM. Would love to hear more feedback on this.
