Adding images to cookie consent banners?
SOLVE
Hello! Is there any way to customize the appearance of a cookie banner beyond the options we get in the built-in banner editor? The main change I want to apply is the ability to add images to spice up the banner a bit more. Is it possible to do with the built in editor and functions, or do I need to make a seperate module to get the job done?
I've designed a mockup in Figma as an example/reference of what I'm going for (only in mobile view, though):
I've dug around a bit in a few articles, such as HOW TO: Customize Your Privacy Policy Banner and Customize your consent banner with the new editor , although I haven't found anything that directly states anything about adding images and customizing their size etc. There is naturally a chance I haven't dug around enough for the answer, but at this point I found it much easier to ask around.
Any pointers would be appreciated, thank you in advance!
Hubspot cookie banners for the most part you will find are very basic with regards to customizations. It is possible Hubspot may offer further customizations in the future and if you would like to see those I would recommend adding this to a feature request ( https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas ).
Alternatively there are more robust compliance solutions out there that may give you more flexibility and insights for testing to see if changing the cookie banner would give you better opt in rates amongst your visitors. One that comes to mind that I have used in the past is usercentrics: https://usercentrics.com/
With regards to customization, Ben is right - i suggest looking into more robust solutions such as consent management platforms (CMPs). You can start with free CMP solutions first for instance. Hope this helps!
Adding images to a cookie consent banner typically requires customisation beyond the built-in editor’s default options. If the editor doesn’t support image uploads directly, you may need to use custom CSS/HTML or create a separate module to implement your design.
Check if your platform allows for advanced customisation via scripts or custom styling. You could also explore third-party cookie consent solutions that offer more flexibility for visuals and layouts.
Your Figma mockup sounds like a great reference—perhaps sharing it with a developer could help bring your vision to life.
