I've used a variety of segmentations while working for a Restaurant aggregator application. Here a few types:

A) Past User-based Behavior

B) Intent-Based Targeting

C) RFM

D) Action/Event-Based Targeting (Eg: Past 3 months' data of customers who clicked on the 'Book Now' CTA or who opened the emailer)

For now, created segments based only on previously opened emails. Still a lot to learn, hope to make better segmentations in the future.

I still have a great deal to learn about marketing but for a start we have segmented according to industry as this helps us send more relevant information.

Since I'm new to email marketing, but as a digital media buyer, I've created the target segmentation for my digital campaign based on customer behaviors and demographics. If I ever have to handle the email marketing, the target segmentation would be previous customers interacted to the CTAs which align with their needs and interest.

I worked on an emailing camapign for a API marketplace that offered a nyriad of services that were B2B, B2C, and also had usse cases that startups could use to plug and play. To get more inbound marketing, we had to segment the offering and do an email camapign that required people to repsond through submission ofe details allows us to collect and collate the data, offer correct engaging, personlised responses which was very import in increasing CTR and enhancing CRM.

Email segmentation can enhance engagement by delivering personalized and relevant content to subscribers. For example, demographic segmentation tailors emails based on characteristics like age, gender, location, or income. This approach is useful in industries such as fashion.

I am fairly new regarding email marketing and this piqued my interest since a lot of job opportunities include email marketing. I plan on using this for my pro-bono project I am working on. They are an aestethic clinic. As per segmentation, I want to target audiences age, location, services preferred, how often do they visit a salon and etc.

I'm new to our company and I still have to learn a lot of things when it comes to email marketing. As per segmentation, we do it by industry, location and size of the company.

I work in the edtech industry, and we segment based on product type frequently to ensure that the people most effected by the reach out get the information.  We have also segmented by role, again to ensure that the correct people get the message.  When done successfully, it helps to decrease the amount of support tickets generated based off of confusion around product changes or something similar.
