Initially, we overlooked the value of segmenting our email lists by industry verticals in our Logistics company. The idea seemed too basic at first.
However, after a few generic campaigns, we recognized the potential for improvement and decided to segment our audience based on their specific industries.
This change significantly boosted our engagement. By tailoring our emails to address the distinct interests and needs of each vertical, we saw a marked increase in open and click-through rates. This strategy not only enhanced the relevance of our content but also strengthened our connection with the audience.

I work in a clothing e-commerce company where we sell women's pants. With the help of Some research we know that our returning customers are more likely to buy again so we created segments of those customers who had already bought our products and sent a tailored email to them and we got nearly 62 % open rate for the first time.

Some are looking to start a business that will need branding , website development and marketing to pick off. Others are looking for strategies to expand their scope and reach more customers. These two groups are addressed differently as they have different priorities.

For events sometimes we do tristate area emails for last minute in-person attendees where they don't have to make flight and hotel arrangements to attend.

We are onboarding with Hubspot right now - our previous system didn't allow for segmentation which wasn't hugely labour-intensive, so I am very much looking forward to experimenting over the next few months and to seeing our results become much more impactful.
