We had a lead generation campaign targeting Senior Executives from organizations where thier employees (any designation) attended an event and participated in a session with a dedicated topic.
With such granular segmentation, we had to define the list with 4 filters - Job Title, Country, If Company exists in XYZ campaign and company annual revenue.
With these filters, we were able to segment the static list to launch a VIP exclusive dinner event hosted in three states and our targeted involved executives with decision making capablities to attend as we discussed some post follow up items from the session that sparked thier interest at the event.
This was very well received and we had a very qualified sales ready list that could be translated into revenue in a matter of months.

As a B2B company active in gastronomy, we are just starting to segment our e-mails. First step is to split our nesletters into local fast food and full service restaurants and next to that to make a limited number of e-mailings to leisure gastronomy (linked to a campaign).

Leveraging the NAICS code assigned to each business (a 6-digit code utilized by Federal agencies for classification), I segmented the businesses by industry. This approach allowed me to tailor my email copywriting to closely align with their specific niche and industry, fostering a deeper connection with them.

Initially, we overlooked the value of segmenting our email lists by industry verticals in our Logistics company. The idea seemed too basic at first.
However, after a few generic campaigns, we recognized the potential for improvement and decided to segment our audience based on their specific industries.
This change significantly boosted our engagement. By tailoring our emails to address the distinct interests and needs of each vertical, we saw a marked increase in open and click-through rates. This strategy not only enhanced the relevance of our content but also strengthened our connection with the audience.

I work in a clothing e-commerce company where we sell women's pants. With the help of Some research we know that our returning customers are more likely to buy again so we created segments of those customers who had already bought our products and sent a tailored email to them and we got nearly 62 % open rate for the first time.

There is a graphic design and web development company that I work for whereby one of the segmentation criteria we use is the clients stage on their journey. Some are looking to start a business that will need branding , website development and marketing to pick off. Others are looking for strategies to expand their scope and reach more customers. These two groups are addressed differently as they have different priorities.

My company is in creative process outsourcing industry. The client I handle focuses on publishing book for Nursing and Health Professionals. In terms of email marketing, we segment our customers/clients based on their current professions; students, faculty, and practitioners.

Our Organization is into Cloud Training and Consulting. We have different segments for Cloud Aspirants keen on getting trained on Different Cloud Providers like Azure, AWS, and GCP. Also, we have a separate segment for those who need our cloud consulting services.

I work for a sustianability nonprofit and when we send our emails we have different networks that we communicate with and sometimes we send to our whole community and sometimes we suppress various campaigns as well. For events sometimes we do tristate area emails for last minute in-person attendees where they don't have to make flight and hotel arrangements to attend.
