What's the right frequency for sending emails?
In order to build trust and further engage your audience, you need to send the right information at the right time. Keeping this in mind, what's your recommendation on a successful frequency for sending marketing emails? Please elaborate as to why you recommend this in your response.
It depends on what the contact has subscribed to. You need to meet the expectations with what is defined in your subscription and if you are doing that and the quality of the content is targeted as well, you will be on the right track.
It depends on the expectation you set with different contacts - for example, subcribers to your monthly newsletter will be expecting an email once a month.
I feel like there is no optimal frequency: it might be useful to ask the desired frequency to the receiver at the moment of opting-in, but being careful to always providing valuable content, meaning that if you are unable to provide value on a weekly basis through your emails, you should not give the possibility to receiving them at that frequency in the first place (but perhaps on a monthly basis, for example).
Once you set the right expectations with your audience on the type of content they will recieve, it's important to send timely emails upon opt-in so not to lose your contact's interest. There are many variables to consider when determining email frequency including industry, level of interest, audience demographics etc. Succesful email marketers will have a solid understanding of what content is best to send at the right time.
In order to build trust and engage my audience it is important to be upfront with them and let them the frequency they will be receiving emails. It is important to be honest as they will be able to value your company more and will see you as transparent and honest.
Perhaps, ask the customers in a survey when they're opting in whether they'd like to receive emails: daily, weekly, or monthly. This way customers know when exactly we'll be receiving emails. They'll feel heard and appricate the option. It creates a funnel that is filled with serious inquirers.
