I split tested 2 subject lines. One was "Therapy Product Sale Ending soon" and the other was "Final hours for discounted therapy products". I expected the 2nd one to perform better since I didn't capitalize every first letter in the title and because it mentioned the word "discounted" instead of sale. I was completely wrong. The first title performed much better with almost double the amount of opens and clicks.

I had performed an A/B test when i wanted my friends to buy a product from me, self made products actually and they chose the one version A because i had written some quotes on them and didn't choose version B because it was plain yet attractive.

One that I did in the past was changing how pricing for airline tickets was displayed. Version A had the lowerst price listed first in a left to right line up. Version B had the highest price listed first in a left to right line up. Although most people still bought the lowest price, we did see a significant uptick in higher booking values off Verision B.

This isn't an A/B test in marketing; rather, as a BPO QA, I implemented two different coaching and training approaches for two groups of agents. After a week, I evaluated their progress to identify the most effective methods for coaching and training.

In a sustainable fashion e-commerce company targeting eco-conscious 18-35-year-olds, we conducted an A/B test to boost email open and click-through rates. We split 20,000 subscribers into two groups: one received generic subject lines and text-heavy emails, while the other received personalized subject lines and image-heavy emails. Results showed open rates of 18% for generic and 25% for personalized, and click-through rates of 4% for text-heavy and 9% for image-heavy. Surprisingly, personalization and visual content significantly improved engagement, doubling click-through rates, highlighting their importance in email marketing.

Interesting.

I recently learned that the ecom brands, more so those selling clothing and whatnot, market doesn't need a lot of copy to convice them to take an action as compared to high investment industries like education, coaching and mentoring.

This probabaly explains why the image centric version of your split test garnered a higher CTR rate.

When ibwas new bus performing e-mail marketing I was not aware of what kind of images you should add in your emails. But through A/B Testing I got to know that a colourful, relatable image can create a big impact tonyour email campaign. It will help you to increase your CTR.

I am new to email marketing, but as a graphic designer A/B testing has a way of getting into the picture when choosing colours when colourgrading a video and when retouching pictures. It's always supricing how a little tweak in colour create a huge deference.

As a copywriter, it was always surprising to me how much design made a difference, even when the copy was identical. Design is such a powerful tool in email marketing.

It shocked me that version (B) of the email, which was shorter, contained less information, had a stronger call to action, and received more responses than version (A), which offered more guidance but had a weaker CTA. The main problem was that although there was a higher level of interaction, not everyone clicked through and requested to unsubscribe.

We A/B tested whether square buttons or linked, underlined text with the same CTA prompt would perform better, and found that our audience was significantly more likely to click the linked text. In an unrelated test, we found that buttons with an outline performed better than buttons without, but not significantly. This led us to change some of the CTAs back to the "classic" linked text look.

I was surprised that a shorter email (B) with less detail and a more direct call to action prompted more responses than version (A) which provided more education but posed a softer CTA. The only issue was that though there was more engagement, it was a mixed bag of folks clicking through and asking to unsubscribe.
