Hi! I'm Chek. I'm a freelancer graphic designer. I've been working on creatives for a while for social media and branding. now, I want to learn about email marketing not just expanding my skills but also understand how to communicate better through strategy. I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm excited and I'm open to any guidance, tools, or resources that can help us grow.

Hi @Roz1 ,

Welcome to the HubSpot Community and to the exciting world of email marketing!

  1. Understand Email Deliverability Early On
  • Set up your email sending domain (like DKIM, SPF, and DMARC records). This builds trust with email providers like Gmail or Outlook.
  • HubSpot has great guides and tools to walk you through this if you're using a connected domain.
  1. Clean Your Contact Lists Regularly
  • One of the easiest ways to damage your sender reputation is by emailing inactive or junk contacts.
  • Remove bounced emails, unsubscribes, or unengaged contacts.

  • Tools like HubSpot’s list cleaning & segmentation can help maintain a healthy database.
  1. Focus on Engagement-Based Segmentation
  • Instead of one-size-fits-all emails, try grouping contacts based on their behavior: opens, clicks, page visits, or lifecycle stage.
  1. Always Be Testing
  • Test subject lines, email content, CTA placements, or even send times.
  • HubSpot makes A/B testing easy with their Professional and Enterprise tiers.
  1. Start Building Smart Automations
  • Use workflows to nurture leads, welcome new subscribers, or re-engage cold ones.
  • You’ll soon realize how powerful automation is for saving time and scaling effectively.
  1. Keep Learning
  1. Watch Your Metrics
  • Pay attention to click-through rate (CTR), bounce rate, spam complaints, and unsubscribes. They all tell a story.
Eventually, consider setting up lead scoring based on email interactions.

    Hope this helps. Thanks!

    Best,
    Deepti Sharama

Good evening everyone,

My name is Francois, and I’m excited to be stepping into the world of email marketing. While I’m new to this specific channel, I’m incredibly eager to learn and master this powerful skill.

I’m a strategist and the proud owner of my own marketing agency. Up until now, my focus has primarily been on social media marketing, photography, printing, and videography — but I’m here to take things to the next level by expanding my digital marketing expertise.

I’m truly looking forward to connecting with like-minded professionals, sharing insights, and learning from each other as we grow together and reach new heights in this space.

Here’s to growth, collaboration, and success!

Hi all,

Nice to meet you virtually.

I'm Kimia, and I'm the Data and Marketing Executive at IPEX.

IPEX is in Telecom and IT industry.

I think a marketing email should be eye-catching and short (from the subject to text), and in the main body of the email, it will be more effective if there are graphis designs, gifs, banners, etc.

I hope to share ideas on this matter.

Looking forward to learning and kepping in touch 🙂

Kimia

Hi there, Folks. I am Sunil. I am from India. I live and work in Taipei, Taiwan.

I am a Senior Technical Writer who was focused until recently on Product Datasheet and User Guides for Product Marketing. The scope of my role has since widened to include Email Marketing but focused mainly on how the technicalities of product features translate into problem-solvers for the target audience.

The industry I work in is AI Tech for Compact and Heavy Equipment Vehicle Safety.

A memorable email to me is one that makes me sit up and take notice, or make me think "That's interesting! I would like to know more.", or leaves a positively memorable after-taste.

I hope to learn very quickly how to be an expert email marketer.

Hi, everyone! My name is Chimene and I don't have any role currently. I'm exploring to expand my skillset and I find Marketing quite the catch so I have been learning about Marketing for a while now. Email Marketing seems more like the kind of Marketing I want to niche down to.

Hello, my friends so myself: Nika.D.Luffy, and I am just starting and course and I'm not working for any company I feel thrilled to complete the course, but what makes an email a memorable one: "is to appreciate the coustemer and use your talking skills and customising skills, in such a way that feels athentic and to the point as well as appreciative and knowledgeable for the people and for most of the people in the world majorly men are not appreciated for thier work and for women they seek attention to minding those facts u can design an email which can peak the attention of tge receiver and makes it worth to remember".

Me myself is hoping to learn as much as I can about email marketing and to support myself financially I'm not hopi g too much but I do hope to get a skill worth knowing.

And I thank the professors who took thier time to make this course and hubspot for keeping it free for all people. Being grateful to all of the team that they did a nice job and I appreciate the good work😇
