Does email domain affect deliverability?

SOLVE

We are debating moving from the email domain of .com and using .net or .info.companyname.com as our email domain.  Does this affect deliverability at all?

Does email domain affect deliverability?

SOLVE

Yes, the domain does have an impact on deliverabilty, just not as much as the sending IP address. Just make sure these are in place.

  • The sending domain has authentication (DKIM, SPF)
  • The sending domain DNS A records are set. (points to a website)
  • The sending domain DNS has MX records set. (can recieve email)
