marketing contacts tier

SOLVE

Hello,

we increase the marketing contacts to send one emergency newsletter from 2K to 10K , then delete.

now we have to pay $440 the marketing contacts tier will be at 10k till 8 Nov 2023.

 

i feel it is really no sense, like Mafia.  only upgrade and up charge.

do anyone have the same case, and how to solve it?

Happy to share some context here.

 

Generally, I wouldn't agree with your assessment that this is mafia-like. The behavior of marketing contacts is explained clearly here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/contacts/marketing-contacts

 

Additionally, HubSpot will show a warning about the incurring costs when exceeding the current limit. At some point, this was shown to you.

When you click "View usage & limits", you'll also see a link to the knowledge base article shared above.

 

At this stage, there isn't anything you can do to reverse this or get your money back. If that was possible, all HubSpot users would use this method of setting contacts as billable contacts, sending an email and simple setting contacts to non-billable before the next month. It would be an ineffective system, most users would simply bypass this.
