For those using the new custom email properties feature, I am wondering how you are using it? I am currently organizing by campaign, so I am wondering how people are finding properties to also be useful.
I use these to have teams fill a set of required properties during email creation – this could be anything from promoted product or service, business line, target segment, country, language, one-off vs recurring etc.
Once maintained, these can be used for saved filters on the email index page, e.g. filtered views of all email sends promoting a specific product, filtered views of all email sends in a country etc. I am not a fan of folders (as they require an action of the user and are typically out of date) and filtered views are self maintaining as long as required properties are filled.
This of course also helps with creating custom reports and showing the count of emails in each of these groups, over time, by performance, and so on.
