View report of successful/unsuccessful personalization tokens?

Hi everyone!

 

My leadership is asking whether we can see a report of how many times the personalization tokens in our latest email loaded successfully or unsuccessfully. Is this possible?

 

We have 100% of first names, but they're wondering if any still failed to load. These are the numbers I'd be looking for if this is possible:

 

Personalization Token: [first name] (ex: Jane Doe)

# or % of successful loads: XXX (ex: Jane)

# or % of unsuccessful loads: YYY (ex: "reader")

HubSpot does not have any features to report on this, at least I'm not aware of any. Do you have reason to believe that personalization tokens wouldn't populate correctly? I've been using HubSpot marketing emails since 2013 and I've never experienced anything like that when sending test emails to myself, colleagues, stakeholders or previewing the email for contacts – and this is across dozens of portals, HubSpot's own marketing portal among them. (Pretty sure HubSpot's marketing ops would've been aware of this if it was an issue.)

 

If the property values are available on the contact record, they will populate. If you want to see how many contacts received a default value, you would approach this by building a list and checking if that property value is known.

Nope, there's a reason I said "my leadership is asking" -- haha. I personally trust that the personalization token worked 100%, but there are people who would like the reassurance of data.

 

I figured this would be the answer - thank you!
