Use created template to send to a list

SOLVE

Good morning,

This is all brand new to me. I've been asked to use several lists that users have created before me to start an email campaign. I'm looking to select 100 a time, which isn't a problem. Once I've done that, I need to use an email template that I have created to send a message to those 100 selected contacts. I can only find instructions to email a single contact at a time. Hopefully I don't actually have to send to each one individually. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Use created template to send to a list

Hi @BJeffcoat,

There are two ways to send emails to a group of contacts:

  • If you have sales pro seat

You can create a single email sequence (you can access it by clicking Automation -> Sequences). Then you can enroll selected contacts in this sequence from List page.

  • If not

You can select contacts and change their Marketing Contact Status to Marketing Contact, make the email you want to use as a marketing email, and send it.

Here are some resources you might need.

Best,

I get how this can be a bit overwhelming, but don’t worry, you can send an email to a group using your template without having to email each contact individually. It’s much easier than it sounds!

After selecting the 100 contacts you want to email, you can create a list in your email platform, like HubSpot, Mailchimp, or whatever tool you're using. Once your list is set up, you can choose the email template you’ve created and send the message to all the contacts in that list at once.

You’ll simply go to the email section, select your template, and then choose the list of 100 contacts as your recipients. Most platforms make it easy to send the same email to everyone on the list with just a few clicks, so you won’t have to worry about sending individual emails. Before you send it out to the entire list, you can even use a “send test” option to make sure everything looks perfect.

This method saves you time and ensures that the right message goes to all the contacts without any hassle. Hopefully, this makes things clearer! Let me know if you have any more questions.

@BJeffcoat You definitely don’t need to email each contact individually. Here’s how you can send your email to a list of 100 contacts using your template:

  1. Navigate to Marketing Emails:

    • Go to Marketing > Email in HubSpot.
  2. Create a New Email:

    • Click Create Email and choose your email template.
  3. Select Your List:

    • Under the Recipients tab, choose the list you want to send the email to. If you’re selecting 100 contacts at a time, you can filter or segment your list accordingly.
  4. Review and Send:

    • Once your email is ready, click Review and Send. HubSpot will send the email to all contacts in your selected list at once.

Note: If you’re using HubSpot Starter, you’ll need to ensure all contacts are set as Marketing Contacts to be eligible to receive emails.

Let me know if you get stuck anywhere—I’m happy to help!
