Hi! I have marketing lists based on newsletters we send and I was wondering when a user click on "unsubscribe" at the bottom of the emails if they can choose to be out those particular lists.
Right now in Subscription Types I can only see "Marketing Information", which I assume is everything, right?
I wish the clients could choose "North America Newsletter", "EU Newsletter", etc.
Creating subscription types by region is not necessarily best practice, however, unless you want people to be able to subscribe to both NA and EU, for example. If you have location information, you can easily segment contacts for each region by building corresponding lists.
If you want contacts to be able to subscribe to multiple regions, then yes, setting up subscription types for each region would make sense.
Whatever you do, I'd recommend thinking about it thoroughly. As a rule of thumb, fewer subscription types are better, more create more complexity. A lot of what HubSpot admins jump to manage with subscription types should be done with list segmentation and subscription type translations.
Best regards!
