We had a deisgner create templates for us in Figma and used a plugin called Emailify to load it into Husbpot. Now that they are in hubspot and i've selected the template for the email, they can't be edited without breaking into the code. Am i missing a key step here? Has anyone ever done this?

Hi @JKing7 , I wasn't familiar with Emailify but just watched a tutorial for importing into HubSpot and when it imports your email template they do it as a HTML template not as individual modules. So with this in mind you would need HTML knowledge in order to edit the template unfortunately.
