Survey within Marketing Email Using Buttons

I am trying to embed a survey in a marketing email. I don't want the recipients to be redirected to answer the survey in a browser, otherwise I would be using Customer Feedback Surveys. Instead I have the question I am posing (Are you attending the conference?), then 2 buttons (Yes and No). Does anyone have any ideas of what these could link to? Thanks.

Hi @alexagatiss,

 

You would have to create a simple "Thank you for letting us know" kind of page.

 

Keep in mind that you'll have to use the CTA tool for the buttons, regular email buttons won't do if they're pointing to the same page. HubSpot will not let you filter by button, only by link (which would be the same for all three).

@alexagatiss in that case, you would simply expand your list criteria with the AND operator: contact has clicked CTA 1 AND contact has clicked CTA 2 🙂

 

Alternatively, if you have one list of people who clicked CTA 1, another list of people who clicked CTA 2, you could simply create a list of people who are in the first two lists, via the list membership filter.

Thank you Karsten. We are trying to get an idea of who is going to an event so that we can market to them further. Will our results be messed up if someone clicks link more than once?

@alexagatiss if they click the same CTA more than once: no. If they click different CTAs, yes, as you would then have to ask which one was accidental or incorrect.

@karstenkoehler Excellent, thanks. I know you mentioned this before but is there any way to differentiate people who clicked both CTAs? I am trying to separate them into groups: (1) the people who clicked both CTAs AND (2) the people that clicked one CTA.

 

The CTAs said Yes and No, so I wasn't expecting for someone to click both.😂
