Subscription preference page for different Business Unit

Hi,

We are working with a customer using Business Units.

Apparently its not possible to have subscription preferences page per BU.  This makes no sense as we can add different subscriptions type and some BU might not even be related.

Not sure how we could work around this. Any ideas?

It looks like there is a BU Marketing Beta that may resolve this now, check out this community thread.

I have not used this yet to test it out as I also had issues with Business Units not having separate subscription pages.

+1
Posting on behalf of a customer. This is an essential setup needed for brand management.
In the meantime, it would be user-friendly to display a warning message or grey-out the custom subscription types option in the portal. The current setup is misleading and leads users to believe that the custom options are actually available - when they're not.

I totally agree that this needs to be a feature. You need to be able to edit these pages.

Hello @AFletcher77, thank you for your feedback. Currently, you cannot have multiple subscription preferences modules. The one module would include all the subscriptions on it.

I would highly recommend you to please post this idea at our ideas forum (here).

Our product team, who monitors the forum regularly, can read your specific use case and understand why this would be a useful functionality or change. It also helps other customers facing the same issue to advocate for its implementation on your behalf by upvoting on the thread as well.

Kindly,

Pam

It's rather frustrating that we can customize the design of all the system pages by business unit with a marketplace template but NOT the subscription preferences pages or unsubscribe pages.

We definitely need this feature - to be able to customize the look and feel of the subscription preferences page for each BU.

Hi everyone!

Eugene here from the APAC Customer Support Specialist team!

With business units, you'd be able to segment out to which business unit that contact record is and view the subscription preferences page accordingly:

For each marketing email that you have, you'd want to change the office location in the footer module accordingly to which business unit the marketing email is in.

Once you've changed that office location, the preference/subscription page the contact record would see if they click into the link would display the business unit's accordingly 🙂

A good point to note with this feature, if you click on the "send test email", the test email would default to your account's main business unit, so the display would be slightly different from what is expected. However, if you go ahead and send the email live to a contact record (you could send it to a sample contact record), the preference/subscription link would direct to the correct business unit as expected 🙂

Hi @CateDuarte. Subscription types and business units... yep it's been a difficult road. We actually just talked with a HubSpotter about this here: HubSpot Email Subscription Types (I've queued it up to the spot in the conversation where we cover business units - it's a 3-minute segment). Tom explains it really well. If the capability isn't there, I would suggest talking with your channel manager/account manager (maybe your sales person) to see if it can be initiated.

Hope that helps!
