Spam report means contact can't get any org's HubSpot emails?
SOLVE
Is it true that if a contact reports a HubSpot email as spam, they cannot recieve any HubSpot email from any organization's account? That's what a HubSpot rep told me, but does anyone have more insight?
I can see why HubSpot wants to minimize spam reports, but it seems problmeatic that contacts (or their automated filters) are reporting spam without understanding they won't get other emails from other organizations they may want.
Your question "Is it true that if a contact reports a HubSpot email as spam, they cannot recieve any HubSpot email from any organization's account?" that is incorrect.
What you are describing is different from a contact marketing "an email" as spam and is explained here. It means the contact has actively reported previous emails as abuse either directly to HubSpot or their ESP.

Spam report means contact can't get any org's HubSpot emails?

Thanks. I've seen that page and it's very misleading. It says the contact "reported an email from HubSpot as spam" but those words are linked to a form to report a message as abusive, which isn't the same thing at all and I assume confused the HubSpot rep.
SPAM reports impact domain reputation and in turn can impact email deliverability for a domain.
Even though the majority of HubSpot customers send from a shared IPs, each has to connect their own sending domain. As a result SPAM reports or complaints for emails send from company A will impact company A's reputation and deliverability which can result in grey and block-listing for company A.
The HubSpot internal thresholds for SPAM reports, hard bounces, etc. are there to prevent and catch poor email behaviour and avoid bad behaviour of company A, affecting the ability to send emails for company B, C and D.
Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the reply but what is incorrect? That reporting Company A's emails as spam means they can't then get Company B's emails? Obviously I understand why spam reports exist.
We have a new contact we can't email and the resaon given is that “This recipient requested not to receive any emails sent with HubSpot.” A HubSpot rep told me meant he reported a previous HubSpot email (not from me) as spam. If that's true, it doesn't seem like a great practice.
