Should we downgrade marketing hub?

Hi all,

It's been decided to downgrade our Hubspot to free version. We simply don't use it enough. My questions are regarding marketing email in marketing hub. I find it hard to find information on the pricing page, so I hope you'll help me. 

1. Can I still put contacts ad Marketing-Contact? 

2. Is the Hubspot branding very obvious in the emails?

Hi @KChristiansen,

If you plan on sending marketing emails, you should stay on a Marketing Hub Starter subscription – otherwise you'll lose the email authentication options: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/manage-email-authentication-in-hubspot

Without authentication, your deliverability will suffer and emails will be clearly marked in recipient inboxes as being sent via HubSpot. I find it very obvious, yes, and emails are much more likely to land in spam or quarantine folders.
