Share email link not working for most users
I have a marketing email that I have drafted. Then I go to Actions > Preview > Copy sharable link. However everyone I have sent the link to (internal staff for review) are asked to log in before they can view, but they cannot log in - it just goes in circles.
For those people that have HubSpot accounts, they just go round in circles trying to log in. If they access HubSpot through normal routes then they can get in and access HubSpot fine.
To make things even stranger, if I reset firefox (completely reset - it's my testing browser, so I don't log in to anything via Firefox) then I can use the link to preview the email without being asked to sign in!? But if I try in Chrome or Edge (e.g. via a new user account or "browse as guest" then I get prompted to log in when using the sharable link). Am I doing something wrong? I have also tried multiple browsers on different devices and most of the time I am asked to sign in. I've tried creating a web page for the email and getting the sharable link for that too, but the same issue arrises.
What do you mean they go round in circles? What happens when they login? Are they just taken to the dashboard, or to the email? Where do they end up? The shareable link is designed to force someone to login, ie: otherwise it could be public on the internet to be found. Alternatively you could send internal staff a test email or use a plugin like Fireshot to screen grab the entire email.
If they try to login they end up back at the login screen. The first screen they are taken to mentions a new login screen (no option to log in with Google). If they try to login they get redirect back to the login screen. There is an option to use the old login process (which has an option to log in with google) - if users try either way, then they just end up back at the new login screen. It was my understanding that the point of the sharable link is to be able to share the email with non-users. I am not logged in to HubSpot with Firefox, yet if I use the shareable link I can preview the email without being asked to login. Firefox is set to clear all cache and cookies when I exit the application (I never use it to log in to apps, only for testing), but I have just done another reset just in case. I can open and view the email via a sharable link. Other users in the business don't have access to firefox. I tried opening the link with Edge (browse as guest) and I am asked to log in. I created a brand new user in Chrome and again I am asked to login (not suprising since they share the same browser 'core').
