Is there a way to find out what contacts clicked on a specific link in a marketing email and add a property to those contacts, after the email has been sent?
You can use Marketing Email Activity > Contact clicked link as the enrollement criteria in a contact-based workflow, and use this to set a custom property for those contacts.

Yes, there is a proper way that you could record the clicking in the marketing email. We are also using it for Boston cleaning services business emails. And that is properly working. As you have to use the marketing email activity and making the flow properly. If you don't understand it properly so check a video from youtube about it.
