Send a single transactional email

SOLVE

Hi ,

I am in search of help to clarify the below,

  1. Can I use pre-defined templates in single send transactional API?
  2. Is there an API that helps me pull email templates created in hubspot?
  3. Can A/B test transactional mails?

I want to leverage hubspot as a templating tool and provide a capability in my app to select template and send a mail from through hubspot.

thanks,

Hey @nPr  (thanks for the tag @TiphaineCuisset),

I'll try to answer your questions in the same formatting for clarity:

  1. Yes, you can use marketplace themes, drag and drop, as well as custom themes from the design manager
  2. I don't think so, but not 100% on this.  You should reference the internal ID associated with the email.  I commonly use a Gsheet to keep track of these.
  3. Yes, you should be able to test A/B

Hope this helps!

Hi @nPr ,

I will try to answer your questions one by one.

  1. Yes, you can use pre-defined templates using the Single-send API. The Single-send API sends template emails created in the HubSpot email tool using a JSON-formatted POST call.
  2. Yes, you can use the SMTP API and the Single-send API.
  3. Yes, you can A/B test transactional email content to optimize your overall transactional email performance.

Note that you need the transactional email add-on to use these APIs.

You can refer to this article to better understand how to use the Single-send API.

https://legacydocs.hubspot.com/docs/methods/email/transactional_email/single-send-overview

Hope this helps!
