Seed list

Can I create a seed list that I can add each time I send out an email so they always receive the email regardless of opt in? There are a handful of internal employees as well as some partners that want to see each email that goes out.

since our internal seed list recipients are part of our overall email list, it means that our metrics are also being corrupted by the size of the seed list.  i.e. as we grow from 2 internal recipients to 5 or 50 those successful sends, opens, and clicks are all included in the HS metrics.  *VERY* painful to remove manually if we want to see how our target audiences are performing.  
At least adding a filter to allow us to filter email recipeient and exclude certain domains (our own) would be an improvement.

You would have to add all of these recipients in Hubspot and then add this segment to the campaign or nurture workflow for them to receive the emails. One thing to note is that they will not receive the personalization of the end user as their details may differ.

Hi @MNold21,

No, there is no such thing as a seed list in HubSpot. I'd recommend creating a list for all of these contacts and adding it for each send.

Without this setting enabled, HubSpot lets you send emails to contacts without an opt-in, as long as they have not opted out. With this setting enabled, all contacts must have an opt-in and this cannot be bypassed (with one exception, explained below). There is no status in HubSpot for employees which would exempt them from this requirement.

The only exception are emails sent with the paid transactional email add-on: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/how-to-use-transactional-email-in-hubspot

Some HubSpot customers use this for sending emails to employees and customers. This ignores opt-ins / opt-outs entirely.
