I have seen previous threads for Added to List which is in a list by in a column but....

Is there anyway that we can have this feature as an option under the contact search tools where you can build out an active list based on choosing the date parameter for joining that list between x date and y date.

Thid could be a useful addition, I agree. The best place for these requests is the HubSpot Ideas section of the community which is monitored by the product team.

Currently, this can only be achieved with workflows and date properties. You'd enroll records in a workflow once they join the list, then use the 'Set property value' action to log the current date in a custom date property.
