Random Email Headers Changed on ALL emails - How to fix?
SOLVE
I'm hoping you can help us rather urgently. A while ago, I was creating several emails in preparation for a partnership launch and put in a bunch of Co-branded headers and footers; however, for some reason, it has altered all of our old email headers to be the Co-branded header. (including emails in workflows)
These new emails were all made around the same time and put into place. I don't know if the system thought, for some reason, that this was the new header that we needed everywhere. I also don't recall doing anything other than replacing the images one by one for both the header and the footer.
I've searched both Google and HubSpot and have seen that other people have had this issue, but I can't find a resolution or a reason why. I was hoping you could help us and that you had seen something like this before.
In sad attempts to fix this, I've done a few things. I went to our design manager to see if there was something there; however, I'm a bit out of my depth with the coding and couldn't see any recent edits. I also went through all the new co-branded emails, and with the exception of one, I changed the header and footers back in hopes that if the same amount of build could change it, changing it back might somehow override it. I also read that it could have been a naming issue that was confusing the system, so I went into the files and confirmed that the co-branded header and footer image files were named differently than our traditional banner.
Any insights on why this happened or how to fix it ASAP would be greatly appreciated.
It sounds like the issue may be related to a shared email template or module that was edited and applied across multiple emails, rather than just the new ones you were working on.
Solutions,
1. Go to Design Manager and see if a shared template was edited with the co-branded header.
2. If you find the template, revert it to the original header/footer.
3. For co-branded emails, use a separate template to avoid affecting others.
4. Review all affected emails and workflows to ensure they have the correct headers.
This should resolve the issue and prevent it in the future.
