Problem with footer and unsubscribe errors on email

SOLVE

Hi All!

I am having issues with the email tool. It says I don't have email footer tokens set up with the company address and unsubscribe options but I've definitely added these in and saved it.

Has anyone else had this problem? What else can I try?

Many thanks

Gemma

Problem with footer and unsubscribe errors on email

SOLVE

Hi @GTuck,

Before we go into the details of the token syntax, have you reset the plain text version of the email in the options tab of the editor? Often users remove the unsubscribe and company tokens in it's curly brackets because they think they're cleaning up the plain text. Resetting it brings it back. (Open plain text, click 'Reset to HTML' in top right.)

HubSpot requires all tokens to he present in the styled and plaintext version of the email.

Also keep in mind that the company information and unsubscribe link cannot simply be plain text or custom. HubSpot expects the company office tokens and either the defaul unsubscribe or preferences link.

If you made these changes already, please click into the footer module and share a screenshot if the left sidebar as well as a screenshot if the end of the plaintext version.

Best regards

@GTuck I included this in my earlier reply, in the options tab of the email editor, find the web version (scroll down), then open the plain text, click 'Reset to HTML' in top right.
