Multiple internal hubspot ids

SOLVE

Hello,

I'm trying to solve a doubt I have about the property "internal hubspot id", since I noticed that automated email can have multiple internal hubspot ids, making the analytics for each email in a campaign difficult.

Is someone experiencing the same issue? Is there a reason why there are multiple ids? How are you solving that?

Thank you,

Eleonora

Hi @EAste11,

Multiple HubSpot IDs for an email occur because each edit or version creates a new ID. This can complicate analytics.

Solutions,

1. Combine data from different IDs.

2. Group emails in a campaign to view overall performance.

3. Avoid unnecessary edits to reduce new IDs.

This helps keep your email analytics clear and manageable.

I hope it helps, let me know if you need to talk!

Hi @EAste11

  1. Identify Versions: Use consistent naming conventions to tag email versions across campaigns.
  2. Group in Custom Reports: Create a custom report in HubSpot to group emails by campaign or goal.
  3. Filter for Specific IDs: Use filters to isolate and analyze emails with multiple internal HubSpot IDs.
  4. Merge Data in External Tools: Export email data to Excel or Google Sheets to consolidate metrics manually.
  5. Monitor Workflow Outputs: Track email performance from workflows to see all versions triggered by automation.
  6. Leverage Campaign Analytics: Utilize HubSpot’s built-in campaign analytics for an aggregated view of all related emails.
  7. Minimize Cloning: Limit cloning or versioning of emails unless necessary to reduce the number of unique internal IDs.
