Modified from address

I noticed in my latest email, in Settings, under "from address" it says "

To improve deliverability, this address will be modified and sent from a HubSpot domain." 

Can I fix this with the free email version or do I have to upgrade to paid?

There was a link to this article but the instructions didn't work for me (the instructions refer to a dialog box that did not appear for me, so I am stuck.)

This is indeed a limitation of the free tools, you would have to upgrade to one of the paid versions mentioned at the beginning frogs article: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/manage-email-authentication-in-hubspot

Connecting an email domain is a requirement to achieve what you're trying to do.
