List of contacts who clicked on a specific link

Hi, in our newsletters we have multiple links to different products (let's say products A, B, C).  let's say that 100 people clicked on the link to product A, 75 for product B and 200 for product C.  There doesn't seem to be an obvious, easy way to see the 200 contacts who clicked on product C and to then nurture them. I can only make a list of all clicks and then look at each contact.

We used to use Constant Contact and this was very easy to do - there was a hyperlink to the 200 which then created a list of contact who clicked on that link. Am I missing something obvious?

Welcome @Servoflo,

While HubSpot can track all link clicks in emails, if you'd like to build lists to nurture recipients who've clicked those email links you'll want to make those links CTAs. Using HubSpot Smart Lists (aka: Active Lists), we can include members based on their individual CTA clicks.

- see Create calls-to-action (CTA)

- see Create active or static lists

You can save yourself reporting headaches later by NOT re-using CTAs across emails / pages. Also, remember to account for (and build lists for) recipients who may click multiple CTAs -- if applicable. Using your example, that's four (4) additional lists -- e.g., A & B, A & C, B & C, or A & B & C -- for a total of seven!

Note: Some HubSpot features (like CTAs) require Marketing Pro or Marketing Enterprise.

Finally, it's often a good practice when using a new marketing platform to 'forget' much of what you know about other email services. No two are created equal, and none operate identically (by design). Expecting youself to understand HubSpot just because you've used another platform is a formula for frustration that will only slow your learning. Just a thought.

Hope that helps.

Best,
Frank
