Inaccurate Email engagement over time reporting
Hello, I was hoping to use the Enagement over time data in HS to determine optimal sending times, but this feature doesn't appear to accurately report the data.
Has anyone successfully used this feature or trust the data that it displays?
My main concern is that the data dramatically changes when changing the time frame I am looking at and appears to drop out a majority of the data. The specific email I am looking at deployed 6/9 (the current date is 6/14). I would assume the First month view and First week view would have the same metrics since they would be looking at the same time frame at the moment, but they are significantly different.
Email stats: Unique opens:6733 Unique clicks: 59
Engagement over time: Recipient Time zone / First Month
Unique opens:6733 Unique clicks: 59
Engagement over time: Recipient Time zone / First week
Unique opens:2832 Unique clicks: 11
Engagement over time: Recipient Time zone / First 24 hours
Unique opens:1692 Unique clicks: 5
Also, if this view is first 24 hours why does the view only go from 8pm to 3am (thats only 7 hours....)
Hello @geopartin, Thank you for the information provided!
If you change the filter to not be "recipients time zone" do the results are the same? The first-month view and First week will be different if the month is not completed yet ( you will be able to check results for May for example). Please let us know the result by changing the filters, and I can advise on the next steps.
Hi @geopartin, if you change the view not based on timezone, do the results are more accurate? If so I can continue to investigate to make sure you can view the most accurate results based on what you would prefer, timezone.
