Hubspot HTML in EMail

Hello - With previous platforms, i have been able to drop source code from previously designed eblasts and drop them in to the HTML builder on email and the email would auto generate.  In Hubspot, i am getting an error "Cannot use script, scrept, script tags" in email body.

Can someone help me with this?

Hi @EToledo9

In HubSpot emails, the error “Cannot use script, scrept, script tags” appears because HubSpot does not allow any JavaScript inside marketing emails. Most email clients (like Gmail, Outlook, etc.) also block JavaScript for security reasons, so HubSpot removes or rejects it to make sure your email can be delivered safely.

If your HTML from older eblasts includes <script> tags (for sliders, animations, countdown timers, or other functions), you will need to remove them before uploading the code. HubSpot only supports standard HTML and CSS for emails.

Hi @EToledo9 and welcome, it's a pleasure to have you here!

For information, HubSpot’s email builder blocks <script> tags for security and deliverability reasons.

As @WebGuruz_Tech suggested, I recommend removing all <script> or similar tags from the HTML code before importing.
HubSpot only supports HTML and inline CSS in email templates.

I suggest using HubSpot’s built-in email modules, or converting any script-dependent features (like tracking or widgets) to safe, script-free alternatives.

I hope this helps!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hey @EToledo9 - thanks for posting in the Community!

I'd like to tag in some Community experts to see if they have any insight on whether or not this is possible within HubSpot! @Phil_Vallender, @Mike_Eastwood, and @Bryantworks - any thoughts here?
