How to re-send an automated marketing email to a single contact?

SOLVE

So here's the scenario:
- lead submits a form, they receive an automated confirmation email

- the automated email is send through a workflow

- lead entered a wrong email, a typo in the address, so they bounce

- I correct their address

- the workflow enrollment continues, but I want send them that automated email which they didn't receive in the first place

 

For some reason, I can't find a way to re-send them that email and I don't want to re-enroll them in the workflow.

 

I'm sure this is simple.

Hi @DragosPirvu,

 

Unintuitively, it's not that simple. There is no quick resend button. Here's what you could do:

  • Clone the initial email as a regularr email, send the email as a regular email to this one contact. If the issue occurs again, you can use this regular email has the option "Send to more" as part of a dropdown. (Send to more is not an option for automated emails, just regular emails.)
  • Create another workflow that sends just the one email, don't add any enrollment criteria, manually enroll just this one contact (or other contacts sharing the same fate).
