How to create a list from contacts who have completed a workflow?

Currently, we enroll contacts in an abandon basket workflow. We would like to enroll contacts who complete this workflow but do not order into a long-term nudge campaign (new workflow). To do this, I am trying to create a list of those who have completed the abandon basket workflow, then have that as an enrollment trigger into to new long-term nudge workflow. I cannot figure out how to create this list of completed contacts, anyone have any ideas? Also happy to restructure the logic if there is a better way.

If you want to do it with lists, you could create an active list, and then search for a Workflow property. Choose the abandon basket workflow, and filter it as "contact has completed". Then add another property that qualifies them for not placing an order. "Last purchase", "Lifecycle stage" or something similar.

Second, create a new workflow and set "list memberships" as a trigger, and choose the list you just created.

Thanks. Unfortunately, the abandon basket workflows are based on a customer object we created (Discovery Journey). So the lists only recognise workflows from contact based workflows versus customer objects. Any thoughts?

HubSpot workflows have various mechanisms to unenroll contacts automatically once they meet specific criteria. In your case, that could be a purchase. You could specify a purchase as a workflow goal: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/workflows/use-goals-in-contact-based-workflows

That would mean that contacts go through your workflow actions until they purchase. Knowing that, you wouldn't need a list but could either simply add the actions that you wanted to add in the second workflow – or, if you want two workflows, simply use the "Enroll in another workflow" action at the end of your first workflow.

Contacts will only reach that point if they don't meet your goal = purchase.

One added complication. We have created a Customer Object (Order Journey) and the abandon basket workflows are based on this object (not a contact record). Therefore, I cannot create a list of completed contacts, since the workflow is Order Journey based. It appears you can only create lists from workflows which are Contact based. 

I have tried the "Enroll in another workflow" approach. However, that workflow would need to be order journey based (not a problem). However, doing this, I then have double count (meaning people in my abandon basket) would also be in my long-term nudge. I can't seem to find a way to set the new enrollment trigger to exclude those currently in the abandon workflows.

Thoughts?

I didn't suggest list creation but HubSpot workflow goals – which also let you reference associated object properties. Have you look into that? https://knowledge.hubspot.com/workflows/use-goals-in-contact-based-workflows
