How to View Metrics on the View in Browser Email Page

SOLVE

Hi community,

We are having some issues getting email opens from our federal customers. This could be due to a number of things, but wanted to test if sending them the "View in Browser" link would get better traction.

However, I can't find any information on how to track metrics from the View in Browser link i.e. page visits, clicks, unique visitors, etc

Does HubSpot offer this capability and if so any advice on how to run the report would be great!

How to View Metrics on the View in Browser Email Page

Hi @SPoole1

Unfortunately, according to this article by HubSpot, the web version of an email does not have this capability due to the tracking code not being included there:

The HubSpot tracking code will not be included in the web version of your email, and any associated views won't be tracked in the traffic analytics tool or campaigns tool.

Only the click itself to view the web version of an email is being tracked/recorded as an email click and can be seen when looking at the email performance. However, if email opens aren't getting tracked then it's possible the clicks aren't either for those particular recipients.
